Gaeta: World Ice Art Competition

Christmas holidays are over, but celebration in Gaeta is still ongoing.

From January the 12th to the 14th the “World Ice Art Competition” is taking place, an event in which sculptors from all over the world create ice sculptures.

These artists are coming come from several countries such as Japan, United States, Belgium, Canada, and Italy of course, to show their creations in the city centre of Gaeta.

As a result, the atmosphere filled with magic is attracting many tourists, which are coming to enjoy this great and unique show, another surprise that Gaeta reserved to all its guests.

It has been an hard competion, working till the last minute, defining and shaping each particular, creating the most spectacular sculpture with the aim to win and beat the other competitors, in a challenge full of emotion.

It has been a big initiative for a quite small town which has a very big ambition and wants to let people enjoying at the best their stay.
